The Madison-Plains Cheerleaders start their season off right by practicing two nights a week to prepare themselves for basketball season.

The girls have practiced very hard to make sure they learn their cheers, hello cheer, starting line up, band dances and half time performances before their first game on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019.

Some of their cheers include Fans in the Stands, We Say Madison You Say Plains, Give Me an E, Share your Spirit and Spirit Cheer.

On the team this year they have a total of 12 Varsity Cheerleaders: Head Captain Kaylee Hart (12) Captain Shelby Jones (12), Captain Maddison Mullins (11), Kristen Carty (12), Cori Charles (12), Rhyan Goodman (12), Monique Mitchell (12), Addison Tesi (12), Gracie Farmer (11), Emma McCoy (10), Octavia Wells (10) and Marissa Mullins (9).

They also have 5 Junior Varsity Cheerleaders: Keria Kimbler (9), Shyanne Miller (9), Elainelee Rowland (9), Hailey Travis (9) and Crystal Weimer (9).

The seven seniors are disappointed that this is their last season, but also know that it is going to be a great one. “This is going to be a fun season and the last season you will get! Make it a fun one with lots of good memories and laughter,” Coach Rebecca Horn reminded them.

The girls are very excited for their first game on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 against Tree of Life. They also hope to see everyone come out and support the Madison-Plains Basketball program. The game starts at 7 p.m. and is located at Madison Plains-High School in London, Ohio.
